he MADE the universe

7,500,000 people laid end to end would make the diameter of the earth.

Over 5,000,000,000,000 people laid end to end would make the diameter of the solar system.

We are TINY. Smaller than specks of dust or grains of sand compared to the size of the universe.

Psalm 8:3-4 says:

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
what are human beings that you care for them?

The God who made the whole universe – the stars, the galaxies, the nebulae, and the black holes – that’s the same God who made you.

Sometimes I think we get that the wrong way round. We think God is there for us, to do what we want him to, to be our personal protector and guide. But God is the one who MADE the whole universe. He’s the one who MADE us.

Who are we to tell him what to do?
How amazing is it that he cares about us?

Go outside somewhere today and look up at the sky. How far can you see? Take a moment to be amazed by the world around you. Then think about what it means that God who made it all cares for you.
