God goes after the LOST sheep
I’m completely addicted to Pokemon Go, though I’m still only on Level 6:
It’s frustrating to get more and more of the same old Pokemons – I’ve had a ton of Rattatas lately. I want the ones I haven’t got yet!
Jesus once told a parable about how the missing one was more important than the ones you’ve already safely caught. Luke 15:3-4 says:
Then Jesus told them this parable: ‘Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?
That’s what a shepherd does: he goes after the stupid sheep that’s wandered out of the field. He looks everywhere until he finds that sheep and brings it back home.
That’s what God does for us: he comes to find us when we’ve wandered all over the place and lost ourselves. He finds us and brings us back home.
God took all the initiative in your salvation. He came to find you and he brought you home. Take some time to think about that today.
