Every Sunday, the Church of England broadcasts a service from one of its churches live online. It’s a brilliant way for people who can’t get to church, or who don’t normally go to church to access worship. It’s also a great way of showing the breadth and diversity within the Church of England.

It’s really easy to set up (you don’t need a lot of expensive technical equipment) and it can reach thousands of people. Read how it worked out for one church in Shrewsbury here.

After the live broadcast, services are available for 24 hours via the Periscope app, but a downloaded recording is also available for churches to use, on their own website, for example, as a way for visitors or newcomers to know what to expect in your church.
