NEW YEAR COUNTDOWN 1: Make a habit of it

If you’re anything like me, you’ll have all kinds of things that you wanted to do in 2015, but never quite got round to. And probably, all kinds of things you did in 2015 that you wish you hadn’t.

The good news is God’s grace, which wipes the slate clean for us every single day.

But grace isn’t supposed to be an excuse just to do whatever we feel like, knowing we’ll be forgiven anyway. Here’s what Paul says about grace:

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.” (Titus 2:11-12)

God’s grace teaches us to reject sin and to live self-controlled, godly lives and one of the best ways to do this by making habits. If we make a habit of something, then it’s much easier to keep doing it.

So today’s challenge is to think about what habit you want to develop in 2016 – and start it now! There’s no need to wait until Friday.

I’m running several New Year Countdown giveaways over on the Facebook page this week. Enter the first one here.
