OUR CHRISTMAS is going to be a fun way of taking a couple of moments out of all the busy-ness of the next month to think about the story of the very first Christmas as told to us in the Bible.
The Christmas story is about normal people in what was a normal place for them, going about their normal lives, when something extraordinary happened. We have a lot more in common with that first Christmas than we might realise.
So, every weekday throughout Advent, I’ll be posting snippets of the Christmas story and inviting you to join in by sharing your photos. For example, on the day that we see the Christmas star appearing, you could share a photo of a star on your Christmas tree, or in the Christmas lights in your town, or a star in the night sky, or any other kind of star you see. Don’t worry if you can’t manage it every day, you can always jump back in whenever you like.
You can join in with OUR CHRISTMAS on twitter, facebook, instagram or snapchat. Follow me for the daily prompts and use the hashtag #ourchristmas
Why not share this idea with a group of friends and see if you can make a local version, or one for your church, or other group? I’ll be aiming for #ourstaffordchristmas (might need a shorter hashtag!)
Advent starts next Sunday (27th), so the first prompts will be out on Monday 28th November.
