Visual Theology book cover

visual theology

I’d been looking forward to this book arriving for ages. Doesn’t it sound great? Infographics, flow charts, diagrams and colour to explain Christian theology. PICTURES! You can get a good look at some of the graphics on the Visual Theology website.

I love this one, showing all the New Testament instructions for Christians bubbling up together.

And this, showing how Christians put off the old self, and put on the new.

But it should be pointed out that more pages look like this, without any pictures.

It’s not a traditional theology book in lots of ways. You’ll find some big gaps if you’re hoping for a complete systematic theology. But on the other hand, you’ll find a theology that is tightly focussed on Christ, that is attractive as well as challenging.

I think it would be good for:
1. Anyone who wants to begin thinking about questions of theology
2. Visual learners who find normal theology books difficult to follow
3. Anyone involved in teaching people about the Christian faith
