weekly round-up 27th jan

As always, please let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see included in the round-up of events, news, articles and resources for Christians.

Here’s what I’m excited about this week:

Dream, Discover, Dare: a space for young people to explore God’s call on their lives. This is a day for 11-18 year olds to begin exploring their identity, their gifts, and the ways God might be calling them to serve him now and in the future. April 23rd, in Stafford. More details here.

If you’re a little bit older and maybe thinking about ordination: Step Forward. This is a day for 18-30 year olds who might possibly be thinking about ordination in the Church of England. There’ll be worship, prayer, chance to find out what ordained ministry is really like, and to consider what God might be calling you to. March 12th, in York.

How well would your church care for and disciple a child with special needs? Sally Phillips talks about her experience and gives some great suggestions for ways we could do better.

What are people searching for? This world map of top Google searches by country is fascinating.

Prayermate is a great app that’s just got a little bit greater.

I am really, really excited about Visual Theology. So many of us find it easier to understand things when we’re shown pictures, graphics and diagrams clearly laid out and in pretty colours. There are some freebies available if you pre-order the book now!
