we’re LOVED despite all our faults

Hebrews 4:14-16 says

Let us, then, hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we have a great High Priest who has gone into the very presence of God—Jesus, the Son of God. Our High Priest is not one who cannot feel sympathy for our weaknesses. On the contrary, we have a High Priest who was tempted in every way that we are, but did not sin. Let us have confidence, then, and approach God’s throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it.

Perhaps one of the biggest challenges in life is knowing that we are loved despite our weaknesses, failures or mistakes.

Many people (including me) find it very hard to remember this, but it’s so important that we do. This verse tells us that Jesus (‘our High Priest’ in the passage) understands the broken bits of our lives, but welcomes us with love, mercy and grace just when we need it.

Where do you need Jesus’ love for you today? I wonder, could you ask Him for His mercy and grace today? What might God say?
