Which one are you?

When you read the Bible, do you find yourself identifying with some of the people in it? Maybe there’s one particular person you’ve always felt a strong connection with:
Peter, getting scared and denying Jesus?
Moses, telling God he’s not eloquent enough?
Paul, who did things in the past that he’s horrified by now?
Mary, who doesn’t fully understand what God’s asking of her, but wants to be faithful anyway?

I wonder if you’ve ever thought of yourself like Job? Job, whose life was great, until God systematically took all the good things away from him. Most of us will have some time in our lives when we feel like Job. And all of us will know people going through that sort of suffering.

Here’s a really helpful article on how the story of Job shows us how to help people through suffering – and how not to!
